Steven W. Morris | M.S., CCC-A, FAAA
Mr. Morris is the founder of Acadian Hearing & Speech Services. A Master’s degree was obtained from Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota. Mr. Morris is a certified Audiologist by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). He is also a former hearing conservation program supervisor and former course director for the Council for Accreditation of Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC). After serving 10 years as an Army Audiologist and achieving the rank of Major, he established Acadian Hearing & Speech Services. Mr. Morris has been providing clinical audiological services since 1984 in Lake Charles, Louisiana since that time and has an extensive background both in diagnostic evaluation of hearing and balance, as well as industrial hearing conservation, and comprehensive hearing aid evaluation and fitting services are provided.
Mr. Morris was born and raised in Ryder, North Dakota where he met his high school sweetheart and wife, Marge. They have three children. His work in the service brought him to San Antonio, Texas, Alaska and Fort Polk, Louisiana. In his spare time, Mr. Morris is an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoys spending time laughing with friends and family and traveling.
Bridget B. Garrido | Au.D., CCC-A.
Bridget Garrido is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and has been a part of the Acadian Hearing & Speech Services team since 1994. Dr. Garrido received her doctorate of Audiology from Salus University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from LSU Medical Center in New Orleans and an undergraduate degree from LSU Baton Rouge. Dr. Garrido is certified nationally from the American Speech-Language -Hearing Association and holds Louisiana state licensure.
Dr. Garrido finds the field of Audiology both challenging and rewarding on a daily basis. By working in a private practice setting such as Acadian Hearing & Speech Services, all hearing healthcare needs of the patients can be serviced. Outside of work, Bridget enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with her friends, husband and two children.
Heidi J. Sorrells | Au.D., CCC-A.
Heidi Sorrells obtained her doctorate degree from Salus University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota. Dr. Sorrells is a certified Audiologist by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and she holds a Louisiana and a Texas Audiology License. Dr. Sorrells enjoys all aspects of working in a private practice audiology clinic but especially loves the challenges of vestibular (balance) assessment and rehabilitation.
Dr. Sorrells was born and raised in a small town called Bottineau in North Dakota. She decided early on that the long, harsh winters were not for her and made her way down to warmer weather. Outside of work, Dr. Sorrells is especially fond of spending time travelling with her husband, spending time with friends and family, hiking, biking, and reading.
